Patels' Hollywood Dreams Crumbling
December 16, 2006

Hollywood Motel
Hollywood Motel
145 South Dupont Hwy
New Castle, DE 19720

Delaware Attorney General Carl Danberg has filed a law suit against Hollywood Motel to deter illegal drug and prostitution activities on the property and is seeking immediate closure of the motel.

Located on South Dupont Highway in New Castle, Hollywood Motel is owned by Jay Bharat Inc and managed by Krishna Management LLC.

Pramod and Nita Patel reside at Hollywood Motel and are owners of Krishna Management, according to a copy of the lawsuit provided to DelawareIndia.com by the Delaware Attorney General's office.

The law suit has named Jay Bharat Inc, Krishna Management LLC, Pramod Patel and Nita Patel as defendants.

Filed on December 12, 2006 in Superior Court of Delaware, the suit alleges that "Hollywood Motel has been the site of numerous drug transactions, drug use, prostitution and other criminal activity" and is seeking immediate temporary relief of closing the property until its facilities can be upgraded to deter crime on the premises.

The Attorney General's office claims that New Castle County and Delaware State Police were dispatched to Hollywood Motel 300 times over the last one year and that arrests were made for prostitution, drug distribution, drug possession, homicide and assault.

The law suit is filed on two counts of Maintaining a Nuisance - Drug Nuisance and Prostitution.

The complaint alleges that the criminal activity occurring at Hollywood Motel is a nuisance to the surrounding community.
